Little Daughter

 Little Daughter is the most eye it is almost opening book I have ever read. It was written by Zoya Phan a Karen woman from Burma. It tells the hardships of living in Burma under the hardships of the military reign. Zoya Phan is in this picture. When I read this I was amazed how a girl of only 14 was forced to leave her village and flee, risking her life, to Thailand to become a refugee bound by a bamboo fence. It seemed like a different world to the one most of us live. This book showed me harsh reality's that I would always tend to overlook. The suffering many people face was extradordinary. There was one chapter where Zoya returned to her home country to discover the real amount of damage, they came accross a village school,where a poor boy could barely afford to stay. All he needed to pay was 5 thai Baht, that is the equivilant of less that 10p, that was hard to pay. I could relate to this book because Zoya was just your average girl, who was forced to abandon what was home.

Christmas has passed (BOO) but at least it is boxing day! which means sales are now on! the suckish part of today i think is the weather (i know it is really random) it sucks real bad. the world is cast in a shadow of gloom. (yes i am really bored) luckly it is only 13 degrees so i can wear okay clothes but you know... anyway heading off for SALES!

wooooo! yaaaaaaaaay! i am in New Zealand! so far the weather hasn't been that amazing, however yesterday and today the weather is super HOT! i have gone swimming in my aunties pool, gone shopping in farmers and the warehouse and tryed different NZ foods! ncan;t wait to update you with the latesat news!

holiday for me!!

hi again!! i am soon going to be going on holiday to new zealand on the 10th of december! yaaaay wooohoo! but do not fear blog readers as i will be able to write reports and blogs while on holiday!:) in those blogs i will be sharing pictures and other stuff from my holiday. also i will tell you what i got from my family for xmas!!
